Job Description
Location: Raleigh, NC
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pharmacy Manager to oversee pharmacy operations in Raleigh, NC. The Pharmacy Manager will lead daily operations, ensure compliance with all applicable laws and standards, and provide strong leadership to the pharmacy team. This role is critical in delivering high-quality care, optimizing workflows, and maintaining a patient-centered approach to medication management.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily pharmacy operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with all regulations.
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and training of pharmacy personnel, including pharmacists and technicians.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and accreditation standards.
- Monitor and maintain medication inventory, including ordering and stock rotation, to minimize waste.
- Implement and enforce pharmacy policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance safety and quality.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal medication management and patient outcomes.
- Analyze operational metrics and develop strategies for process improvement and cost control.
- Address customer and patient inquiries and resolve complaints in a professional manner.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure operational and regulatory compliance.
- Stay updated on changes in pharmacy laws, regulations, and industry standards to maintain compliance and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Active North Carolina pharmacist license in good standing.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of pharmacy experience, including 1-2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong understanding of pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards of practice.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems and electronic health records (EHR).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with budgeting, inventory management, and quality improvement initiatives is a plus.
Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $120,000 – $140,000 a year based on experience.
