Step 1 Your Target Role

Tell the tool where you are now and where you are headed. This information shapes the gap language it generates for you.

Step 2 Resume Checklist

Check every item you currently have documented on your resume. Be honest: if it is not on the resume right now, leave it unchecked.

Credentials and Qualifications ? Hiring managers and ATS systems scan for credentials first. Missing or vague license and certification details can eliminate your resume before a human reads it.
Active professional license (RN, LCSW, PharmD, or equivalent) listed with state and expiration
Primary industry certification (CCM, CPUR, CPC, LNCC, CCDS, or equivalent) listed with credential number
Secondary or supplemental certification relevant to target role
Continuing education or recertification hours documented
Degree or educational background with institution and graduation year
Experience and Outcomes ? Even if you have these elements checked, they are often underused. Every item in this category is a candidate for stronger quantification regardless of whether you have it on paper.
At least 3 bullet points with quantified outcomes (numbers, percentages, volume metrics)
Caseload or panel size documented (number of members, cases, or accounts managed)
Specific systems or platforms listed (Epic, InterQual, MCG, Facets, QNXT, etc.)
Population or specialty focus area clearly identified (Medicare, Medicaid, oncology, pediatrics, etc.)
Scope of work documented (remote, telephonic, field-based, hospital-based)
Leadership and Collaboration ? Leadership signals are often invisible on individual contributor resumes. If you trained one person, led one project, or presented once to a committee, that belongs on the page.
Any supervisory, mentoring, or training responsibilities documented
Cross-functional collaboration experience (working with physicians, attorneys, payers, clients)
Participation in quality improvement, audits, or program development projects
Presentation or reporting to leadership, clients, or committees documented
Awards, recognition, or performance ratings referenced (if applicable)
Positioning and Format ? Formatting gaps are the fastest to fix and have an outsized effect on recruiter response rates. A LinkedIn URL and a strong summary can be added in under an hour.
Resume summary or profile statement at the top (not an objective statement)
LinkedIn URL listed and profile matches resume
Keywords from target job descriptions present in resume body
Employment gaps addressed or accounted for (if applicable)
Resume is 1 to 2 pages appropriate for experience level
