Job Description

Location: Baltimore, MD

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our client’s pharmacy team in Baltimore, MD. The Pharmacy Technician will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of pharmacy practices, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in a closed door pharmacy environment with no patient facing responsibilities in this position
  • Support pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
  • Verify prescription information and patient details, ensuring compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations
  • Manage inventory by ordering, receiving, and shelving medications and supplies, maintaining optimal stock levels
  • Conduct medication reviews to identify potential drug interactions and ensure patient safety
  • Maintain accurate records of all prescriptions and transactions in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Assist in the training and supervision of pharmacy interns and technicians as needed
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance pharmacy practices and patient care
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support pharmacy operations effectively

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Pharmacy Technician certification is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a specialty pharmacy or similar setting.
  • Strong knowledge of specialty pharmacy practices, medications, and pharmaceutical calculations.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy software and technology.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly with specialty medications.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight.

Schedule & Work Environment:

  • Closed-door facility — no direct interaction with walk-in patients or retail customers.
  • Work in a clean, climate-controlled environment with individual workstations and collaborative team support.
  • Surrounded by licensed pharmacists and professionals who value accuracy, teamwork, and care.
  • Full-time, 40+ hours/week
  • Core schedule is Monday through Friday
  • Occasional evening hours may be required depending on workload

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $35,000 –  $45,000 a year ($16.00 – $21.00 per hour), based on experience.

You may be asked to share examples of how you’ve maintained accuracy in high-volume environments, navigated pharmacy systems, or supported compliance efforts in past roles.
